I'm back!

I'm going to try really hard to start blogging again! Although I'm not the best at it I feel like maybe I'll get better as I go! ERP is getting so big she is almost 16mo now, we went last week and she is 22.4lbs and 29" and in the 25th percentile but growing like a weed!

We recently took a trip to Gulf Shores for a weekend here is my favorite picture.

I've been busy sewing and loving it... My facebook shop Sweet Providence is doing well! www.facebook.com/sweetprovidence

big girl feeding herself

Emma Ray and I are at my parents for a few days so I've been taking videos of her to send to daddy. He misses his baby girl. She is doing something new everyday and I don't want him to miss it! Enjoy the video of her feeding herself!

Sweet Providence!

I haven't blogged much lately I've been so busy! Last week I decided that I had thought about it long enough and been told by enough people that I needed to sell the things I make! So after a lot of brainstorming I finally came up with the perfect name for a store "Sweet Providence".

I am starting small to see how I can handle it (plus we are moving within the month!). My sister is working on some things to add to the shop too. I've got an etsy store in the works and maybe a blog too! I am so excited about this new adventure I am taking. I knew from the minute I decided to quit my job and move to the country to be a mom that I would do something like this to occupy my spare time. If you have a second check us out on facebook and "like" Sweet Providence and follow me in my new adventure!

I am doing custom orders here are a few picturesof things I've done this week... A mardi Gras shirt, a birthday boy shirt, personalized frames and I'm sewing a couple of pillowcase dresses too!

My Etsy

I finally got my new sewing machine yesterday and I love it!!! I made a few camera strap covers and really enjoyed making them. I decided that I would give Etsy a try and see if I enjoy making and selling fun things, I'll be adding more later but for now there are a few camera straps with a little pocket for your lens cap (I'm always losing mine!) Check it out and let me know what you think!

Click Here to see my ETSY shop! (the name is awful and I plan on creating a new shop as soon as I come up with something better.

RSV and the hospital

On Wed. Jan 12th we took ERP in for her 9 month Well baby visit. She is growing and hitting all her milestones! Up to this point she had only gotten a runny nose once or twice and we were pretty happy with that. Well that day she picked up a virus known as RSV although we didn't know until she woke up early Friday morning with this awful cough that sounded like a seal barking. So we brought her in to the pediatricians office as soon as they opened up! They gave her some Tylenol and a shot and sent us home.

I had plans to go to NOLA for the weekend for a bachelorette party for one of my best friends so I packed us up and we headed down south. I was almost there when I got a call saying it was cancelled, which was probably for the best since ERP was running a fever and the doc told me if her breathing got worse to take her to the ER! (That made me a little nervous!)

So we ended up spending the weekend at my parents house she didn't leave the house all weekend and her fever was up and down (I think I took it hourly!) We headed back home on Sunday. Luckily ERP is the best car rider EVER and slept the entire way there and back (she did wake up long enough to drink a bottle). Sunday night we noticed she was breathing really heavy so I started texting my cousin who is a nurse and mother of 3 who told us if we were really worried to take her in. We decided to wait and Will and I both slept in her room that night (I got the lazy boy, he got the floor) she made it a few hours in her crib and the rest of the night she slept in the recliner with me. We took her temp at midnight and it was 102.8 by the morning it was only down to 101.8 and the Motrin wasn't bringing it down so we called the dr. office as soon as they opened and we went straight there. The Dr. was worried about pnemonia, flu & RSV and wanted to do chest xrays and monitor the fever. So he admitted her to the hospital. I was suprisingly calm and ok with it all!

We went home and packed a bag and headed to the hospital. When we got there they put us in a room and not much longer after that came and got us for xrays and the dreaded IV. They attempted the IV in her left foot and FAILED! She was screaming so loud it was awful, so they got a different nurse and she attempted the other foot and blew that vein. All the while Will and I were holding her down! They finally were successful on the 3rd attempt which was in her arm. They drew some blood and took Xrays and sent us back to the room. Results were positive only for the RSV, they started her on breathing treatments and just monitored her all night. It was a long and boring day and even though she was sick she wanted to get down and play. So we put her in the hospital baby bed with her toys and she was a happy camper. It was a rough night her and I slept in the hospital bed together the nurses were in an out all night so I didn't get much sleep. Will slept through it all! LOL

Her fever finally broke that night and the Dr. came to see us the next morning and checked her out, she was doing much better so he sent us home! We were very glad to come home and ERP was so happy to be able to crawl around and play with all of her toys! She is doing MUCH better now but it was one rough weekend for all of us!

While we were bored in the hospital I broke out my camera and took a few pics of my sweet girl in what we calle her hospital baby prison! She did look cute in her blue hospital gown if I must say so myself!
